Jurassic Fields Presents – Battle of the Bands 2020

Jurassic fields presents – battle of the bands 2020

Jurassic Fields has always had a core value of promoting upcoming artists and showcasing new music.

As the festival grows so we want to encourage more acts to develop and share their music.

And so this year we are very proud to announce our own battle of the bands with the top prize in each category of playing to the 2020 festival crowd.

Jurassic Fields is a not for profit community festival that puts all funds raised back into the event. Our sound, light and production values are second to none and we would love some new or not so new undiscovered acts to experience this from the stage.

You may be a folky duo, a punky 3 piece ,or a band of harmonising rockers. Perhaps an electronica experience, a guitar band or an orchestra of alternatives.

We don’t mind what your into as long as you have passion for making music and playing it live!

So here the deal…….

We promote the gig and get you an audience

You play for 20 minutes.

We ask you for just £5 per band member to meet us towards the costs

We put on a headline band to finish the night so you can party after your performance.

You will get a certificate signed by the festival directors to say you’ve taken part or perhaps won your heat.

We give you an exclusive Jurassic Fields Battle of the Bands T-shirt

The audience and a panel of judges decide the winners between them who then go into the final.

The final will be judged by industry professionals.

The winner of each category wins a slot at Jurassic Fields 2020.

A few rules:

We would really like to hear your original music. Please only play one cover song as part of your 20 minute set.

All entrants are asked to respect our values of tolerance and respect to all regardless of age, gender, disability, race, religion, sexuality or anything that makes us all wonderfully different.

Bands must have at least 2 members. (Yeah, The White Stripes were a band clever clogs.) You can apply under the name of a solo artist but there must be at least one person accompanying you.

You must be available to play at Jurassic Fields 2020 on Saturday 11th July 2020.
